7th Annual Chip Run in Smithers, BC

I contacted Sam via ADVrider.com to ask for a place to crash on the way North. He told me “Absolutely!” but warned that I might get a little crowded that weekend. A group of local bikers hosted the annual “Chip” run. An event to remember a close friend lost to cancer and donate to the local cancer hospital. I was touched by the camradery amongst the roughly sixty riders and how they welcomed me to the this beautiful event. I wanna thank Sam, Lainie, Thomas and the rest of the crew for allowing me to be part of this amazing experience!

La Cordillera Blanca

After days of rough backcountry roads in the Peruvian countryside, I finally reached the world's highest tropical mountain range. The journey from Chacas on the Eastern foot of the Cordillera Blanca to the Carhuaz only takes three hours but is breathtaking. Bendy roads, deep valleys and a snow storm  at the top when I came out of the tunnel Punta Olimpica at 4'680m made it all the more exciting.
